This white leek is produced by ECHIE Agricultural Products in Kyotango, Kyoto Prefecture. Aiming for eco-friendly and people-friendly farming, they use homemade compost and grow without pesticides. They dry the leeks immediately after harvesting, keeping the flavor and taste fresh. The texture and flavor change depending on the rehydration time, allowing different uses in cooking. It can be added directly to miso soup or soups, used in gratin with canned mackerel, or as an ingredient in hot vegetable soup. Moreover, the ingredients are imperfect vegetables.
